Happy Anniversary to Us!

One year ago we signed on the dotted line and became first time home owners! It has been an incredible year of joy and blessings. We love our home,our jobs,being near part of the fam and yes, even many of the "Southern" ways.

Finally A Place to Call Home

This blog is one grandmother's attempt to stay relevant in the current century. I now live in a beautiful part of the south. I have an amazing front porch and the white rockers to go along with such a porch. At an advanced age we became first time home owners! Well, we don't exactly own it yet, but we have started paying for it. So because I have always been a bit of a gypsy in that I have lived soooo many places- I named the blog .. A Place to Call Home.

I have many words left to use while I am still on the planet. I think a great deal about things and really love the idea of having a forum to share some of those thoughts. So welcome to my blog... feel free to comment and come along for the ride.

Things to Do Before I Turn 95!

Become a master teacher!
Complete a PhD program
Experience the Places I've Lived Tour
Finish the search for my roots!
Get back up on a surf board at least on more time!
Go on a missions outreach (Went to the DR this summer!)
Go to C.S. Lewis's Home-The Kilns
Have no regrets!
Learn American Sign Language- more than squirrel and dead squirrel :)
Leave nothing unsaid or undone!
Return to the Evangelical School for the Deaf in Puerto Rico!
Run a 5k
Take English riding lessons -find a new stable
Tour the major National Parks
Travel the world!
Visit the Isle of Man (Don't ask)
Write a book
